16. PC Advisor - forum SkillsTrain ? information needed please

This forum was a deliberate attempt by a competitor or person looking to incite negative comments about SkillsTrain, with a posting in October 2007 which asked if the SkillsTrain course he'd signed up for was legitimate. After a couple of postings the author of the original posting stopped contributing to the dialogue, allowing others to perpetuate it. The original author didn't contribute any further postings after stirring up the initial discussion.

The forum has had various discussions on it and SkillsTrain contributed to them with factual replies, such as confirming the regularity with which the CIW course is updated when a member claimed the course was several years out of date. Each time SkillsTrain offered a reply, a new and different challenge would be posted by an apparently new forum member, often with no posting history. SkillsTrain posted a direct line for any student with a genuine grievance to phone. In the three weeks following that offer, not one 'student' called and no contact was made from people posting daily on the site.

All of the libellous comments about SkillsTrain were removed (up to October 2008) and the administrator put in requests to stop members posting further defamatory comment.
